Iran, UAE Urge Concerted Action for Regional Security

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Senior security officials from Iran and the United Arab Emirates stressed the need for collective cooperation among the regional countries to ensure security of the region.

In a telephone conversation with National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Akbar Ahmadian praised Abu Dhabi’s stances in condemnation of the Israeli war of aggression against Iran.

Pointing to the regional developments, Ahmadian said it is necessary to ensure the security of the Persian Gulf region and the “interrelated security” of its states through cooperation among the regional countries.

“If the security of one of the countries faces an external threat, the entire region will face a challenge,” Ahmadian warned.

He further reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to promoting relations with the neighbors.

For his part, the Emirati official emphasized that regional security should be ensured by the whole regional countries.

Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan cautioned that disruption to the security of a country will have negative impacts on the other regional states.

He also expressed the UAE’s support for dialogue to rise to any challenge.
