Iran Falls Short against Germany: 2025 VNL Week 2
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran lost to Germany 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 26-24, 25-22) in the men’s Volleyball Nations League 2025 Week 2 in Belgrade, Serbia on Saturday.
Amir Hossein Esfandiar led Iran with 19 points, while Filip John scored 22 points for Germany.
Iran, who had defeated Serbia and Argentina in its first two matches, will play the Netherlands on Sunday.
The 2025 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League is the seventh edition of the FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League, an annual men's international volleyball tournament.
It is being held from June 11 to August 3, 2025, with the final round to take place at the Beilun Gymnasium in Ningbo, China.
