President Asks Iranian Scholars to Assist Admin in Meeting Challenges

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called on academic figures and elites to help his government settle problems in various sectors.

In comments at a ceremony commemorating the 45th anniversary of establishment of the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), Pezeshkian expressed gratitude to all members of the ACECR, noting that the administration will be able to solve many issues with their cooperation.

“My hope lies solely with the ACECR members and scholars who care about the country, and the administration will welcome them with open arms,” the president said.

He referred to the sacrifices and bravery of the Iranian people against the schemes of the enemies, stating, “Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the enemies of the Iranian nation have made numerous complex plans to hinder the resilience and progress of this people. They have martyred over 20,000 devoted and selfless volunteers at various times to derail the revolution, but they did not achieve their goals. If those volunteers were present today with the same spirit and sincerity, many of the current challenges would not have arisen; the enemies have deliberately taken our elites from us.”

The president emphasized the crucial role of scholars and ACECR members in saving the country, stating, “I believe this country can only be saved with the help of scholars who know, can, and have a strong will to solve the problems of the homeland.”

He further noted that the fundamental solution for change in the country lies in the services of scholars and intellectuals who are concerned about solving national problems, his official website reported.

“Today, the country faces multiple challenges such as the water crisis and land subsidence because we have disrupted the balance between resources and consumption under the pretext of development,” Pezeshkian said.

He also referred to the continuous hostility of enemies against Iran and the people of the region, stating, “We witness the blatant and inhumane crimes in the region as a concrete example of this enmity. It is surprising and regrettable that a country standing for dignity and resisting aggressors is accused of terrorism by those who have provided all their equipment and resources to a criminal regime to kill innocent women and children in Gaza and other areas, in violation of all treaties and international laws, and then speak of peace, security, and human rights; this is shameful deception.”

The president also denounced the false narratives propagated by media supporting the Israeli regime, saying, “They show an image of a Zionist prisoner who has suffered from malnutrition due to the food and medicine blockade imposed by the Zionist regime in Gaza, and some so-called human rights experts accuse the resistance groups of violating human rights, without mentioning who has blocked access to water, food, and medicine for the innocent women and children in this region. Where are the international human rights organizations? Do they truly understand and comprehend human rights?”
