Serious Collective Efforts Needed to Curb Israeli Crimes: Pezeshkian

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian called for tangible efforts by all countries, particularly Muslim states, to rein in the Zionist regime and help the people of Gaza.

The Iranian president on Sunday received the credentials of nine incoming foreign ambassadors to Tehran.

In the meetings, Pezeshkian deplored the escalation of Israeli atrocities against the defenseless people of Gaza.

He said it is necessary for all countries in the world, especially Islamic countries, to cooperate and make more serious efforts to put an end to the Israeli crimes, lift the blockade of Gaza, and ensure the unlimited and adequate delivery of humanitarian aids into the enclave.

Pezeshkian also condemned the Israeli massacre of defenseless Gazans and depriving them of food, water and medicine in the name of “self-defense” as an inhumane catastrophe.

“The greater catastrophe is that the (Israeli) crimes are being committed before the eyes of those that portray themselves as the advocates of human rights, democracy and freedom of human being,” he added.

The president further reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to the promotion of friendly ties and constructive cooperation with all countries in the political, economic, cultural, scientific, trade and technological fields on the basis of mutual respect.

Iran believes that people in the world should seize the opportunity to promote peace, stability, calm and welfare and work in unison, Pezeshkian stated.

The new envoys of Ethiopia, Estonia, Djibouti, Laos, Cambodia, Burundi, Latvia, Myanmar, and Nepal submitted their credentials to the Iranian president.
