Imam Reza Holy Shrine's Research Foundation Publishes New Book on Islamic Charity
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) of the Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine has released a new French-language book titled “Islamic Charity Work: From Theory to Practice”, originally authored in Arabic by renowned Kuwaiti writer Isa Ashkanani.
Ashkanani, a veteran in the field of philanthropy, shares insights from his extensive experience in charitable initiatives across countries including Iran, Iraq, India, Yemen, the Persian Gulf states, and parts of Africa. His book explores the practical application of Islamic charity principles and highlights their impact on fostering social cohesion.
The work provides readers with practical methods for engaging in charitable activities, drawing on verses from the Quran and Islamic traditions. It serves as a guide for individuals, groups, and institutions involved in philanthropy, offering tools for meaningful charitable action.
This French edition has been published with an initial run of 500 copies. The book has already been translated into Farsi and English, with a Turkish version expected soon.
Ashkanani’s philanthropic efforts extend across multiple countries, with significant contributions in areas such as infrastructure development, mosque construction, and entrepreneurship. His initiatives have helped hundreds of families escape poverty and build sustainable livelihoods.
