Conference at Imam Reza Shrine Highlights Islamic Unity, Condemns Zionist Aggression

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - At a gathering in Mashhad’s Imam Reza Shrine, senior clerics and Sunni scholars underscored unity between Shiite and Sunni Muslims, honoring Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and reaffirming resistance against oppression and Zionist crimes.

A conference titled “Prophet Muhammad: Epitome of Ummah's Unity and Strength” was held at Imam Reza Shrine on August 21 in Quds Hall.

The event was attended by Ayatollah Ahmad Marvi, Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR), alongside a number of Sunni scholars from across Iran.

In their final declaration, delivered by Molla Ahmad Mobarakshahi, participating Sunni scholars emphasized loyalty to Islamic values and unity of the Ummah.

They called for resistance against oppression and condemned silence in the face of Zionist crimes.

The statement paid tribute to the martyrs of the Islamic resistance, particularly those killed during the 12-day imposed war from June 13 to 25.

It praised the military and spiritual strength of the Islamic Republic, describing the recent war as a divine victory and a turning point in the nation’s history.

Participants reaffirmed loyalty to the ideals of Imam Khomeini and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

They stressed that unity between Shiite and Sunni Muslims is vital for confronting global arrogance, extremism, and sectarianism.

The declaration concluded with a call to preserve revolutionary spirit, uphold national dignity, support the armed forces, and maintain awareness and adherence to Islamic teachings as guiding principles for the Muslim nation.
