Iran, Qatar Foreign Ministers Confer on Gaza, Nuclear Talks at UNGA
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi met Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York to discuss the Gaza crisis and ongoing nuclear talks.
The two officials reviewed bilateral relations and regional developments.
They stressed the need for continued coordination among regional states and the international community to halt the Zionist regime’s warmongering and to end the genocide in the occupied Palestinian territories.
They also discussed the latest status of Iran’s nuclear file and highlighted the importance of all parties remaining committed to diplomacy to avoid escalating tensions.
Araqchi is in New York for the annual United Nations General Assembly, where world leaders and top diplomats gather to address global issues and hold high-level meetings.
His visit reflects Tehran’s focus on regional diplomacy and multilateral engagement amid tensions over the Gaza conflict and Iran’s nuclear program. His agenda includes talks with key counterparts to discuss bilateral relations, regional security, and efforts to revive diplomatic channels on the nuclear file.
