Iranian President Felicitates Saudi Leaders on National Day
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian sent separate messages to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and the Saudi nation, congratulating them on the kingdom’s National Day.
In his message to King Salman, the president underlined the shared values and commonalities between Iran and Saudi Arabia, describing them as a solid basis for strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He also expressed hope that bilateral relations would continue to grow in all areas through joint efforts.
In another message addressed to the crown prince, Pezeshkian voiced confidence that cooperation and effective use of existing capacities would open the way for broader engagement between Tehran and Riyadh in political, economic, and cultural fields.
Saudi Arabia marks its National Day on September 23 each year, commemorating the unification of the kingdom in 1932 under King Abdulaziz Al Saud. On this day, the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz was officially renamed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, laying the foundation for the modern Saudi state.
