MSF Warns Gaza Daily Injuries Triple since Launch of GHF
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Doctors Without Borders (MSF) warned that daily Palestinian injuries in Gaza have tripled since Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation aid program began.
MSF said Palestinian injuries in Gaza have tripled since late May, following the launch of the Israeli and US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).
Mohammad Abu Mughaiseeb, MSF deputy medical coordinator in Gaza, described the new aid points as “kill zones” in a recent video message.
“These locations have tripled the daily influx of wounded people compared to what it was before the establishment of the distribution centers,” he said.
Israel halted aid deliveries to Gaza on March 2.
After nearly three months of a full aid blockade, international pressure forced the apartheid regime to impose the GHF model, replacing UN-affiliated aid groups.
The Gaza Health Ministry reported that about 1,924 Palestinians were killed and over 14,000 injured at GHF sites since May 27.
Whistleblowers say most victims were deliberately shot by Israeli forces or US “security contractors” employed by GHF.
Shootings have become routine, while starvation and malnutrition deaths continue to rise across Gaza.
Mughaiseeb warned that Gaza’s already fragile health system is barely functioning after more than 22 months of Israeli attacks.
“What remains of the health sector is only a fragile skeleton, and now it faces a new horror,” he said.
He described seeing “severed limbs, severe infections, shattered bones, and torn arteries requiring urgent surgeries and intensive care.”
Capacity to perform these procedures has been severely reduced due to ongoing Israeli attacks.
Surgical and intensive care services are collapsing in Gaza’s remaining hospitals.
Mughaiseeb demanded an immediate ceasefire and unrestricted humanitarian access, warning: “there will be nothing left to save, neither hospitals, nor patients, nor the future.”
At least 61,944 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed, and 155,886 injured since October 7, 2023, according to Gaza Health Ministry data.
In November 2024, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli prime ministerBenjamin Netanyahu and former war minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its attacks on the besieged territory.
