Iranian President to Visit Armenia, Belarus, China
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian will travel to Armenia and Belarus within the next few days and visit China for an SCO summit later this month, an adviser said.
The Iranian president’s political adviser said on Saturday that Pezeshkian will leave Tehran on Monday evening, August 18, for a two-day visit to Armenia and Belarus.
“Among the purposes of the visit are strengthening mutual relations, particularly in the trade sector, and signing documents,” Mehdi Sanaei said.
He noted that the presidential visits to Armenia and Belarus had been scheduled for late June, but were postponed.
Sanaei also announced that Pezeshkian has been invited to attend the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in China in late August.
China’s Tianjin will host the 25th Heads of State Council meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on August 31 and September 1. It will be the fifth time that the annual SCO summit is held in China.
