Tractor Crowned Champion of 2025 Iran Super Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Tractor football team earned a late 2-1 win over Esteghlal in the 2025 Iran Super Cup on Monday.
In the match, held in Isfahan’s Naghsh-Jahan Stadium, Esteghlal captain Rouzbeh Cheshmi scored a goal with a header in the 12th minute.
Amir Hossein Hosseinzadeh equalized the match from the penalty spot in the 87th minute and Tomislav Strkalj scored the winning goal in the added time.
This high-profile match saw Tractor, the reigning champion of the Iran Professional League (IPL), facing off against Esteghlal, the Hazfi Cup winner.
Historically, Persepolis is the most successful team in Super Cup, having won the title five times.
