Iran, IAEA Discuss New Manner of Cooperation
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The deputy director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency visited Tehran on Monday for talks on the aspects of bilateral cooperation, with the UN nuclear agency getting the blame for inaction on the Israeli military strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites.
IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Safeguards Massimo Aparo met with an Iranian delegation in Tehran for talks on the manner of cooperation between the UN nuclear agency and Iran under new circumstances, an Iranian deputy foreign minister said.
According to Kazem Gharibabadi, the two sides have agreed in the meeting to continue consultations.
He said the Iranian delegation has also expressed Tehran’s strong protest against the IAEA’s failure to exercise responsibility amid the Israeli and American military aggression against Iran.
The IAEA has been also urged to rectify its incorrect approaches to Iran’s nuclear program, the deputy minister noted, adding that Aparo left Tehran on Monday.
