Foreign Ministry Remains in Charge of Iran’s Nuclear Case
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi dismissed claims that the Supreme National Security Council is going to handle the country’s nuclear case.
Asked by reporters about the possibility of SNSC Secretary Ali Larijani taking charge of the dossier on Iran’s nuclear program, Araqchi said on Monday, “There is no such plan on the agenda for now. I don’t perceive that it would happen.”
Larijani was appointed as the new secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran last week.
