Location of Iranian President’s Chopper Pinpointed
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian rescue teams have pinpointed the location of the helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi, which has reportedly suffered a hard landing on Sunday.
The exact location of the accident involving the helicopter carrying President Raisi and his entourage is near the Ozi village, located in the Arasbaran woods in the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan.
The difficult terrain of the area and the foggy weather have hampered the rescue operation.
Speaking to state TV by telephone, Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi said a helicopter of the president’s convoy returning from Jolfa has made a hard landing.
The minister said rescue teams have been deployed to the area in the foggy weather.
