Nearly 65,000 Coronavirus Patients Recover in Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Health Ministry spokesman Kianoosh Jahanpoor said on Thursday that the total number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached 87,026, while nearly 65,000 have recovered from COVID-19.
“With 90 new deaths in the past 24 hours, the death toll from the virus has reached 5,481. Unfortunately, we had 1,030 new cases since yesterday,” Jahanpoor said on state TV.
He added that 87,026 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in the country.
Jahanpoor also put the number of those who have so far recovered from the viral infection at 64,843.
The coronavirus outbreak that originated in Wuhan, China, has infected over 2.6 million people around the world. The global death toll from the pandemic is now more than 185,000.
