Pezeshkian Meets Ayatollah Khamenei Ahead of UN Trip
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian had a meeting with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in Tehran on Monday, before leaving for New York to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting addressed preparations for the president’s participation in the UN gathering.
Pezeshkian provided a report on the plans and strategies for the trip, while the Leader shared advice and expressed well wishes for the president in his visit.
The 80th ordinary session of the UNGA opened on September 9. The first day of the high-level General Debate will be Tuesday, September 23.
The theme of this year’s session is "Better Together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights".
