Arab World Awaiting Qatar’s Response to Israeli Aggression

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Qatar is now under pressure to open its eyes to reality and adopt a firmer stance by giving an appropriate response to the Zionist regime’s military strike that targeted Doha on September 9.

The Israeli regime on Tuesday struck Hamas’s leadership in the Qatari capital, an act of aggression that has drawn widespread international condemnation.

Hamas confirmed that five of its members, including the son of senior leader Khalil al-Hayya, were martyred in the strike. A member of Qatar’s security forces was also killed.

Analysts have underlined five key points about the incident:

1. After Israel’s attack on Qatar, social media has been flooded with the message that “compromise” provides no “safe shield” against American and Israeli aggression, and in fact, by dismantling “defensive shields,” it makes you even more vulnerable.

For example, Qatar had reached almost the height of compromise with the Americans, and there was hardly any hostility between Qatar and the US. The Americans even built one of their largest military bases in the world (Al-Udeid) in Qatar, which they use for launching military aggression against other countries.

Yet the United States officially announced that it was fully aware of Israel’s strike on Doha. In other words, just like Israel’s past attacks, this operation was effectively carried out with a green light, full support, and of course American equipment.

2. In recent days, Israel has not only attacked Qatar, but has also targeted a number of Turkish sites and facilities in Syria. This means that Israel and the US have openly shown Turkey and Qatar that despite all their passivity toward Israel and their failure to take serious action against the regime, they remain vulnerable to threats and attacks.

Israel has proven itself to be a rabid dog, for whom compromise and inaction not only fail to prevent aggression but in fact embolden it, giving it even freer rein.

3. The speaker of the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, released a video of the attack on Qatar, saying it was a message to the entire Middle East.

This is perhaps one of the most precise—and rare—truthful statements by the Zionists. All of West Asia must understand that Israel is its enemy and that, because of its inherently savage nature, it will eventually come after them, unless they have erected a “defensive shield” through “resistance” and are capable of responding.

If West Asia as a whole does not stand against Israel, the regime will certainly move against each and every passive government one by one.

4. Everyone is now waiting to see what reciprocal move Qatar will take against the Israelis. There is hope that Qatar will demonstrate real action, although it seems highly unlikely. Militarily, Qatar is completely dependent on the United States. Its air defenses essentially belong to the Americans, and of course it is clear that American defense systems will not act against Israeli aggression, leaving Doha a defenseless city.

5. Any Qatari reaction will naturally be compared in the Arab world to Iran’s assertive response. Once again, the Arab and Islamic worlds weighed the credibility of “resistance” versus “compromise,” and will continue to do so in the future. Iran punished Israel with a powerful missile response, but will Qatar do anything beyond issuing condemnations? There is hope, at least, that Qatar will begin to view the world with a more realistic eye.
