Iran Expresses Solidarity with Qatar after Israeli Attack on Doha

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the Israeli regime’s attack on Qatar, reaffirming Tehran’s full support and solidarity with the Persian Gulf nation.

In a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday evening, Pezeshkian strongly denounced the Israeli regime’s aggression against Qatar and emphasized that Iran stands firmly alongside its Qatari brothers, prepared to take any necessary measures to support its neighbor and close ally.

The president stated that the Zionist regime disregards all accepted international norms and laws, carrying out its actions with the backing and support of the United States.

He stressed that under the guise of defending its own security, the Israeli regime threatens the stability and peace of the entire region and commits crimes without restraint.

The Iranian president also called on the Islamic countries to adopt a unified and coordinated stance to condemn Israel’s blatant aggression, both in words and action, to prevent the regime from repeating such behavior.

For his part, the Qatari emir expressed appreciation for the call, agreeing that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu acts without limits and attacks wherever and however he chooses, unconstrained by international accountability.

He stressed the necessity for regional countries to present a united front against the Israeli regime’s crimes.

The emir noted that Hamas officials had been reviewing a US-proposed ceasefire plan and indicated a willingness to respond positively, but the Zionist regime targeted the meeting with its attack.

Sheikh Tamim also expressed hope that communication between Iran and other Islamic countries with Qatar would continue in the coming days, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to halt Israeli crimes in the region.

The Zionist regime on Tuesday attacked Hamas’s leadership in the Qatari capital, Doha, in a strike that has drawn widespread international condemnation.

Hamas announced that five of its members were killed in the attack, including the son of senior leader Khalil al-Hayya. A member of Qatar’s security forces was also reported killed.
