Issa Alekasir Joins Malavan: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Issa Alekasir joined the Malavan Bandar Anzali football club on Thursday.
The 35-year-old forward has penned a one-year deal with Malavan.
Alekasir joined Esteghlal, the archrival of Persepolis, on a one-year contract in July but left the team by mutual consent.
Last year, Alekasir was a member of Persepolis but did not meet expectations during his stint.
He had reportedly been linked with Kheybar as well.
Malavan was held to a 1-1 draw against Sepahan on Tuesday in its opening match in the 2025-26 Iran Professional League (IPL).
