IRGC Commander Warns Enemy against More Miscalculations
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israel suffered miscalculation in the 12-day war imposed on Iran, a senior Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) commander said, warning the enemy against falling into the same trap again.
“The Zionist enemy and the US entered the war with their full power, but they suffered a miscalculation as they were certain of success, which did not happen,” IRGC Deputy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi said on Monday.
He said that in the early days of the war, there were communications between regional leaders and the Israeli aggressors, but after a few days, the “situation turned in our favor.”
Warning against enemy miscalculations, he asserted, “If this trend continues, they will soon realize the gravity of their mistakes.”
Rear Admiral Fadavi added that Iran’s “missiles crossing the skies over Iraq and striking critical positions of the Israeli regime during the 12-day war demonstrate these victories.”
He also said that since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, “the hostility of the global arrogant powers, especially the United States and its allies, has persisted daily against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
While the Zionist regime waged a war of aggression against Iran on June 13 and struck Iran’s military, nuclear and residential areas for 12 days, the US stepped in and conducted military attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran’s Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan on June 22.
he Iranian military forces conducted powerful counterattacks immediately after the aggression. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force carried out 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III that inflicted heavy losses on cities across the occupied territories.
Also, in response to the US attacks, Iranian armed forces launched a wave of missiles at al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia.
A ceasefire that came into force on June 24 brought the fighting to a halt.
