Blast at Southern Lebanon Arms Depot Kills Six Army Experts
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An explosion at an arms depot in southern Lebanon on Saturday killed six army explosives experts and wounded several others, the Lebanese army said.
The blast occurred on the outskirts of Zibqin village in Tyre province while the experts were dismantling munitions.
The army said investigations were underway to determine the cause of the explosion but provided no further details.
The incident happened south of the Litani River.
In recent months, Lebanese troops and UN peacekeepers have taken control of the positions in the region.
