Gaza on Verge of Irreversible Humanitarian Collapse As Israeli Carnage Continues

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Palestinian health authorities and aid agencies have warned that the Gaza Strip is descending into an “irreversible humanitarian collapse,” with ongoing Israeli attacks killing civilians and famine-related deaths increasing, including among children.

At least 21 Palestinians were killed on Monday in fresh Israeli strikes across Gaza, while six others, including a child, died of hunger, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

Medical sources reported that Israeli forces opened fire on civilians near aid distribution points, killing and wounding dozens.

Al-Awda Hospital confirmed the deaths of seven people and injuries to 20 others in central Gaza.

Emergency services in Rafah’s al-Shakoush neighborhood said two more, including a woman, were killed and over 20 injured near a food aid station run by the GHF.

Elsewhere, three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a home in Deir al-Balah.

Two more were killed in Beit Lahiya, and seven others died in artillery shelling in Gaza City’s Shujayea district.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said the total Palestinian death toll since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal war has risen to at least 60,839, with 149,588 wounded.

In the past 24 hours, six people, including one child, died due to severe malnutrition.

This brings the total number of famine-related deaths to 181, including 94 children.

Aid workers say hunger and desperation are forcing residents to approach aid distribution areas despite the risk of being targeted by Israeli fire.

“People are exhausted, malnourished and still willing to risk their lives to find food for their families,” said one local aid worker.

According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, over 22,000 aid trucks are still being blocked from entering the territory.

Since July 27, only an average of 84 trucks per day have been allowed entry following limited Israeli easing of restrictions.

Humanitarian organizations say a minimum of 600 trucks per day is necessary to address basic civilian needs.

Hamas announced it is open to allowing the International Committee of the Red Cross to deliver supplies to Israeli captives if the occupying forces open humanitarian corridors for Palestinian civilians.

Local residents and emergency personnel reported Israeli forces deploying suicide drones and heavy fire around aid distribution sites, targeting civilians—particularly women and children.

Humanitarian officials told Al Jazeera that Gaza is on the brink.

“The situation is beyond catastrophic,” said one aid representative.
