Yemeni Forces Pound Israeli Targets in Retaliation for Gaza Genocide
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Yemeni Armed Forces announced another strike against Israeli positions, declaring it part of their ongoing campaign to confront Tel Aviv’s war crimes in Gaza.
In a statement on Sunday, the Yemeni military said four drones were launched in a “qualitative operation.” Three targeted Ramon Airport in the occupied Umm al-Rashrash area near Eilat, while another hit a military site in the Negev desert.
The Yemeni army confirmed the strikes achieved their objectives, describing them as retaliation for Israel’s crimes of genocide and starvation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The statement stressed Yemen’s “religious, moral, and humanitarian duty” to support Palestinian resistance and vowed to intensify attacks until “the aggression on Gaza stops and the siege is lifted.”
Yemeni forces said the operation was also in direct response to Israeli aggression against Yemen itself, underscoring their resolve to defend national sovereignty despite outside pressure.
This marks yet another escalation in Yemen’s declared confrontation with Israel. The forces have carried out maritime blockades to choke off military supplies bound for Israel and launched repeated missile and drone strikes against Israeli-occupied territories.
The Yemeni Armed Forces reiterated that operations will continue until Israel halts its aerial and ground assaults in Gaza.
Since October 2023, Israel has killed at least 64,756 Palestinians in Gaza—most of them women and children—according to the enclave’s health ministry.
