Iran Urges Muslim Nations to Join Global Boycott Campaigns against Israel

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baqaei condemned any normalization of ties with the Zionist regime, describing it as equivalent to legitimizing crime and aggression.

Speaking at a weekly press conference on Wednesday, Baqaei said Iran has consistently called on all countries, particularly those in the region, to sever or suspend their relations with the Israeli regime.

He noted that many nations across the Islamic world —and even beyond— have already restricted or cut their diplomatic and commercial relations with Israel.

The spokesman also highlighted the growing number of campaigns in Europe aimed at halting economic and sporting ties with the Zionist regime.

Expressing hope for broader action, Baqaei urged the Islamic countries to join these global campaigns and demonstrate practical opposition to the continuation of Israeli crimes and warmongering policies.

Dozens of Palestinians have been killed throughout the Gaza Strip in recent days as the Israeli regime continues its full-fledged ground invasion of the enclave’s biggest city despite growing international condemnation.

The Israeli bombardment of Gaza City has ramped up dramatically with incessant explosions destroying dozens of homes, and naval boats joining tanks and jets in the major assault.

The Zionist regime’s war on Gaza has killed at least 64,964 people and wounded 165,312 since October 2023.
