Six-Year-Old Twins among 37 Killed in Israeli Attacks across Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli forces killed at least 37 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip on Monday, including six-year-old twins and entire families in Gaza City, as the regime’s military escalated its assault on civilian areas despite international concern over genocide.
Hospital sources in Gaza said 25 people were killed in Gaza City alone after Israeli warplanes bombed residential districts.
Among the dead were six-year-old twins, a disabled woman, and several children.
At least five Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid were shot dead near Khan Younis, according to Nasser Medical Complex.
Witnesses said Israeli forces also bombed and destroyed the al-Ghafri Tower, a high-rise building in Gaza City, after issuing an evacuation order.
The Zionist army claimed, without evidence, that Hamas infrastructure was present in or near the building.
Israel also ordered residents of the surrounding area, including displaced families living in tents, to flee or face attack.
Al Jazeera reported that the military struck al-Mawasi, an area Israel had previously declared a “safe zone,” killing a disabled woman and wounding four others.
In recent days, Israel has repeatedly targeted Gaza City’s high-rise buildings, accusing Hamas of using them while displacing much of the city’s population of one million.
Medical sources told Anadolu Agency that 10 Palestinians, including children, were killed in airstrikes on two homes along Al-Jalaa Street.
In the al-Rimal neighborhood, Israeli forces attacked a tent shelter housing displaced families, killing six people, including three children.
Five others were killed in shelling on a civilian gathering in the al-Karama area.
Further south in Khan Younis, three people, including a married couple, were killed by Israeli fire in al-Mawasi.
In central Gaza, one Palestinian was shot dead in al-Mughraqa town.
Gaza health officials say Israel’s ongoing war has killed nearly 65,000 Palestinians since October 2023.
The devastation has left the besieged enclave on the brink of famine.
Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its conduct in the war, as its forces continue to target civilian areas with US military and political backing.
