Iran Finishes Sixth in 2025 AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian women's volleyball team lost to Indonesia 3-1 (25-17, 25-15, 23-25, 25-20) in the 2025 AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup 5th-6th place on Saturday.
Team Melli Banovan had defeated Indonesia 3-2 in the preliminary round.
Iran also defeated New Zealand 3-1, the Philippines 3-2, and Australia 3-0 and lost to Kazakhstan 3-1, and Mongolia 3-2.
Vietnam will meet the Philippines in the final, while Kazakhstan is set to play Chinese Taipei in the bronze medal match.
The Nations Cup is being held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from June 7 to June 14.
