Iran Beats New Zealand at 2025 AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated New Zealand 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-12, 25-18) in the 2025 AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup on Sunday.
Team Melli Banovan had defeated Indonesia 3-2 in its opening match.
Iran is set to face the Philippines on Monday.
Iran has been placed in Pool B, alongside the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Indonesia, and New Zealand.
Pool A features Vietnam, Australia, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, and India.
The Nations Cup is being held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from June 7 to June 14.
