Inter Vice-President Sends Message of Support to Taremi amid Israeli Aggression on Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Inter Milan Vice-President Javier Zanetti says the Nerazzurri are “sticking close to” Mehdi Taremi amid Israeli airstrikes on Iran.
The Nerazzurri vice-president spoke to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews.
Taremi is currently unable to leave his home country of Iran.
The plan had been for the former Porto striker to join his Inter teammates in the United States for the Club World Cup this weekend.
However, the unexpected development of Israeli airstrikes have changed all of that.
Zanetti commented on Taremi’s situation following the Israeli aggression.
“I’m very sorry (to) see what’s happening with Taremi. We hope that it can be resolved soon,” said the Nerazzurri executive.
“It’s an enormous problem,” Zanetti went on. “And we want to stick close to him in this particular moment.”
