Iranian, Saudi Hajj Officials Meet during Islamic World Pilgrimage Summit

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Head of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization met with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah during the Islamic World Hajj Ministers Summit, raising Tehran’s latest requests regarding services for Iranian pilgrims.

Alireza Bayat attended the Hajj Ministers and Heads of Islamic Countries Summit on Sunday (June 1) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

During the event, Bayat met with Tawfiq bin Fawzan bin Muhammad Al-Rabiah and conveyed Iran’s most recent demands and requirements for the provision of services to Iranian pilgrims in the holy sites (Mashaaer al-Muqaddasah).

Bayat also coordinated with Saudi counterparts to ensure adequate support and services for Iranian pilgrims during the Hajj period.

The summit brought together officials from Islamic nations to review preparations for the upcoming Hajj.

Saudi authorities presented the latest updates on pilgrim attendance and outlined operational guidelines and recommendations for managing the Hajj rituals.

Participants discussed the executive protocols and exchanged views on how to improve the organization of the pilgrimage.
