Iran Secures Narrow Victory over Italy Volleyball Team in Friendly Match
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s national volleyball team secured a 3-2 victory over Italy (23-25, 25-18, 14-25, 25-21, 15-11) in a friendly match on Friday.
The two teams will face off again on Saturday.
These warm-up games are part of Iran’s preparations for the 2025 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League (VNL).
Roberto Piazza’s Iran will open VNL with a match against Brazil in Rio de Janeiro on June 11.
In the first week, they will also play the US, Slovenia, and Ukraine in subsequent matches.
