Gaza Death Toll Tops 53,000 as Israeli Genocide Continues

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - At least 53,010 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 2023, according to the enclave’s Health Ministry.

The Health Ministry reported on Thursday that 82 people were killed and 152 others injured in Israeli airstrikes over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of injuries since the conflict began to 119,998.

"Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them," the ministry said.

The Israeli military resumed its operations in Gaza on March 18, ending a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that began in January.

Since then, 2,876 people have been killed and nearly 8,000 wounded in renewed strikes, according to the ministry.

In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Separately, Israel is facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice related to its actions in the enclave.
