Israeli Strikes Kill 46 More Palestinians in Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli airstrikes on densely populated areas in Gaza killed at least 46 Palestinians overnight, with many of the victims being women and children, according to medical sources.

Israeli warplanes targeted homes and makeshift shelters for displaced residents across the Gaza Strip late Wednesday and early Thursday, resulting in another deadly wave of attacks.

In Khan Younis, a city in southern Gaza, a series of airstrikes around dawn killed 36 people and wounded more than 60 others, medical officials said.

Casualties included women and children, as air raids hit residential areas and tents where civilians had taken shelter after previous strikes.

Medics said rescue teams continued to pull bodies from the rubble, retrieving five more dead from destroyed homes in the early hours of Thursday.

In northern Gaza, five more Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the town of Jabalia, the official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported, citing local medical staff.

Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, ongoing since October 2023, has killed nearly 53,000 people, most of them civilians, according to Palestinian health authorities.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Israel is also the subject of a genocide case at the International Court of Justice, where it faces charges related to its brutal war against the besieged enclave.
