2025 World Para Athletics Championships: Javanmardi Claims Gold
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian athlete Ali Asghar Javanmardi seized a gold medal at the New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championships on Friday.
The Iranian para athlete finished in first place at the Men's Shot Put F35 Final with 17.17 meters.
Argentine Hernan Emanuel Urra and China’s Fu Xinhan won silver and bronze medals with 16.77 m and 15.64 m, respectively.
The New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championships competition feature 186 medal events (101 men's, 84 women's and one mixed), 15 more than the last edition of the championships in Japan’s Kobe.
