2025 New Delhi: Iran’s Alipour, Olad Win Gold, Silver
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian shot putters Amir Hossein Alipour and Mahdi Olad won a gold and a silver medal respectively at the New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championships on Tuesday.
Alipour came first at the Men's Shot Put F11 with a throw of 14.59 meters.
Olad won the silver with 14.23 meters and the bronze medal went to Alvaro del Amo Cano of Spain with 13.70 meters.
The New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championships competition feature 186 medal events (101 men's, 84 women's and one mixed), 15 more than at the last edition of the championships in Kobe.
