Thousands Rally in Luxembourg against Israeli Atrocities in Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Over 5,000 people marched through Luxembourg City on Sunday, denouncing Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza and demanding an end to genocide.
Demonstrators gathered in the Kirchberg district before marching to Place Clairefontaine, calling for a halt to Israel’s military campaign and for lasting peace.
The rally, backed by more than 40 civil society groups, political parties, and labor unions, urged Luxembourg’s government to impose economic sanctions and use diplomatic pressure against Israel.
Protesters carried banners condemning the massacres and chanted for justice for Palestinians, echoing growing international outrage at Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said Israel’s war, now in its 723rd day, has killed more than 66,000 people in Gaza.
According to the ministry, since March 18 alone, Israeli attacks have killed 13,137 Palestinians and injured 56,121 more.
Cumulative figures since October 7, 2023, put the death toll at 66,005, with 168,162 wounded.
Officials noted that many victims remain trapped under rubble, with recovery efforts hindered by the relentless bombardment.
