Iran to Continue Path of Resilience, Dignity: President

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – President Masoud Pezeshkian pledged that Iran will continue its path of resilience and dignity, saying the country’s future depends on standing firm against oppression.

Speaking at a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Pezeshkian reviewed the outcomes of his recent trip to New York and highlighted the nation’s achievements. “Our path is one of resilience, relying on the capabilities of our people, and advancing with dignity toward a bright future. Just as Iranians have transformed past crises into opportunities, we will guide the country toward growth, progress, and prosperity through solidarity and determination,” he said.

The president took a swipe at the US for its bullying approach regarding Iran’s genuine efforts to reach a fair resolution on the nuclear issue. Citing the teachings of the Quran, he noted that oppressors are never satisfied unless Iran submits, a prospect he firmly rejected.

Pezeshkian also underscored the failure of US sanctions to halt Iran’s exports and pointed out that many nations without oil and gas resources have successfully developed through focus and innovation. “Relying on our specialists and the unity of our people, we aim to reduce dependence on oil while advancing our development programs,” he said.

The president reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to constructive dialogue for fair solutions, while opposing negotiations that could create new problems. Emphasizing that Iran does not seek nuclear weapons, he referenced Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s clear fatwa and expressed readiness for reasoned discussions based on transparent criteria.

The president also outlined plans to reduce public spending and reform subsidy distribution to protect citizens’ interests. He stressed that close relations with friendly nations would prevent adversaries from achieving their goals.

Pezeshkian concluded by assuring that the administration is prepared to meet any challenges, prioritizing the welfare and livelihoods of the Iranian people.
