Yemeni Forces Hit Israeli Targets with Hypersonic Missile in Retaliatory Strike
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Yemeni Armed Forces announced that they had launched a new strike against Israeli regime's occupied territories, hitting several sensitive sites in the occupied Yaffa region with a multiple-warhead Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile.
The operation, according to the Yemeni army, was carried out in direct response to ongoing Israeli aggression against Yemen and the continued genocide in Gaza.
Military officials warned all civilian and military companies and vessels operating or transiting in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea to identify themselves, stressing that any entity failing to comply would be considered a target and held fully responsible.
The Thursday statement underscored that Yemen would intensify its operations until Israel halts its assaults on Gaza and lifts the siege on the territory.
The latest strike came after Israeli air raids hit residential areas and civilian infrastructure in the Yemeni capital, killing at least eight people and wounding 142 others.
Since October 2023, Yemeni forces have enforced a strategic blockade in the Red Sea to prevent arms shipments to Israel, while carrying out repeated missile and drone strikes on occupied territories in solidarity with the people of Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to escalating military actions until Israel ends its ground and air attacks on Gaza.
According to Gaza’s health ministry, Israel has killed at least 65,208 Palestinians — mostly women and children — in the besieged enclave since October 2023.
