Iran Claims 2025 Asian U-17 Handball Championship Title
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran beat South Korea 28-25 in the final match of the 1st Asian Men’s U-17 Handball Championship on Thursday.
The tournament was held at the Princess Sumaya Hall in Amman, Jordan from September 15 to 25.
Iran had previously defeated South Korea 31-25 in the preliminary stage.
Qatar also defeated Bahrain 33-26 in the bronze-medal match.
Iran defeated the Maldives, Syria, South Korea (twice), Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, and Bahrain in the competition.
The competition’s top two teams Iran and South Korea qualified for the 1st IHF Men’s U-17 Handball World Championship, scheduled to take place in Morocco from October 24 to November 1.
