Iran’s Nokhodi Collects Bronze at 2025 World Wrestling Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian freestyler Mohammad Nokhodi claimed a bronze medal at the 2025 World Wrestling Championships on Monday.
He defeated Azerbaijan’s Dzhabrail Gadzhiev 4-2 in the 79kg. Bahrain’s Khidir Saipudinov also seized a bronze medal in the weight class.
Greek wrestler Georgios Kougioumtsidis defeated American wrestler Levi Haines 3-2 in the gold medal match.
The 2025 World Wrestling Championships began on September 14 in Zagreb, Croatia and will run until September 21.
