Pakistan Defense Chief: Israel Is Rogue, Going Soft on It A Folly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Pakistani defense minister blasted Israel as a rogue regime after its attack on Doha, warning that any attempt to go soft on the Zionist regime is a dangerous mistake and urging Muslim nations to unite and rely on their own strength.
In a post on his X account on Tuesday night, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif lashed out at the Zionist regime for its fatal strike on Qatar.
“Time for Muslim countries to unite against Israel, a rogue state. Agenda is to comprehensively deal with Muslim world and neutralise whatever economic power they have, thinking that going soft on Israel will keep them safe is a folly,” he said.
“Pakistan, an economically vulnerable state but with a resolute government and Alhamdolillah valiant professional armed forces took on India 5 times larger state and taught them a lesson. No one underwrites security for you, outside help matters, but invincibility comes from within,” the Pakistani defense minister stated.
The post came shortly after Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the “unlawful and heinous bombing” in Doha by Israeli forces.
“Our deepest sympathies and solidarity are with the Emir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Qatari Royal Family, as well as the people of Qatar at this difficult time,” Sharif said.
Denouncing the Israeli act of aggression as “totally unjustified” and “a brazen violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Qatar”, the Pakistani premier stressed that the aggression constituted a dangerous provocation that could imperil regional peace and stability.
“Pakistan stands firmly with the State of Qatar, as well as with the people of Palestine against Israel’s aggression,” he concluded.
The Israeli regime on Tuesday struck Hamas’s leadership in the Qatari capital, an act of aggression that has drawn widespread international condemnation.
Hamas confirmed that five of its members, including the son of senior leader Khalil al-Hayya, were martyred in the strike. A member of Qatar’s security forces was also killed.
