Pezeshkian Felicitates Muslim Nations, Urges Solidarity Against Israel
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian president congratulated Islamic countries on the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), stressed the need to revive the Prophet’s message of justice amid war and Zionist aggression, and called for unity to build peace and dialogue in the Muslim world.
In a message released on Tuesday night, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated the Islamic world on the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), emphasizing the need to uphold the Prophet’s teachings of mercy and justice amid Zionist aggression and global injustice. He also called on Muslim nations to promote peace, tolerance, and solidarity, and urged collective action against occupation and oppression.
What follows is the text of the message, released by his official website:
In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you
Our time is now more than ever in need of the “Prophetic Mercy” and of following the “Messenger of Ethics, Justice, and Human Rights.” The world sees more each day the ominous shadow of war, discrimination, violence, violations of human dignity, the development of weapons of mass destruction, environmental destruction, and fear for the future. Today, the Islamic world faces the continuation and expansion of the Zionist regime’s excessive demands everywhere. The oppressed Gaza and occupied Palestine have now become a slaughterhouse of humanity and a center of genocide. The fire of aggression and warmongering from the racist Zionist regime knows no bounds and targets places in the Islamic world every day; among them was the open and inhumane aggression against our homeland and innocent people, carried out with the support of the United States and the inaction of responsible international bodies.
I believe that the Islamic world is a land of opportunities and capabilities; its ancient civilization, knowledge, culture, and creative arts, human capital, diverse population, natural environment, climate, and economic resources can play a significant role in creating a secure, peaceful, and advanced world. In the name of Muhammad, the trustworthy Messenger of God (PBUH), let us transform the Islamic world into a region of peace, dialogue, consensus, and development, and give new life to coexistence and global cooperation.
Fortunately, the recent meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation this year, with the adoption of resolution C-15.51, has opened the way for practical action in this direction. By declaring the year 1447 AH as the Prophet’s 1500th birth anniversary (PBUH), it explicitly calls on member countries to promote Islam as a religion of peace and tolerance and to organize cultural, educational, and scientific activities during this blessed year and occasion, highlighting Islam’s contribution to human civilization and strengthening interfaith dialogue and mutual understanding. The organization also encourages member states to launch media campaigns to promote an accurate understanding of Islam and the traditions of the Prophet (PBUH) and to hold charitable and humanitarian activities in accordance with prophetic teachings.
The Islamic Republic of Iran announces its practical support for this resolution and, in advance, invites all religions, ethnicities, executive bodies, civil institutions, and the public sector to advance these goals and engage in broad and effective collaboration with all governments and Muslim communities.
The hand of God is with our community, and opportunities are hidden in our agreements, understandings, and solidarity.
