Iran, Armenia to Finalize Strategic Cooperation Document Soon: Araqchi

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that Tehran and Yerevan have agreed to finalize a comprehensive strategic cooperation document in the near future, following talks between the officials of the two countries.

Speaking after the meeting, Araqchi described the discussions as serious and wide-ranging, covering economic collaboration including trade, investment, and joint technical and engineering projects, as well as cultural cooperation, which he noted was extensive due to historical and cultural ties between the two nations.

On transit and transportation routes, Araqchi said the Armenian side provided detailed explanations regarding recent talks held in Washington and assured Iran that Tehran’s red lines are well understood and respected.

He emphasized that Armenia has pledged it will never allow its territory to be used as a platform for threats against Iran.

Araqchi reiterated that both sides agreed to finalize a comprehensive strategic cooperation document soon, adding that the talks were conducted in a serious and constructive manner.
