Iranian President Scorns Israeli PM’s Interfering Comments

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the Israeli prime minister’s recent interfering comments, saying those who voice concern for the Iranian people should first acknowledge the catastrophic situation in Gaza.

Addressing a cabinet meeting in Tehran, Pezeshkian condemned the ongoing atrocities perpetrated by the Israeli regime, highlighting the alarming death toll among children and other vulnerable populations in Gaza.

The president highlighted the suffering of defenseless children and civilians in the besieged enclave, who are grappling with starvation and lack of access to clean water and medicine due to the oppressive blockade imposed by the Israeli regime.

Pezeshkian also called on the global powers, international organizations, and humanitarian groups to pay special attention to the humanitarian crisis in the region, stressing that the mortality caused by sanctions has far exceeded the casualties of both World Wars, his official website reported.

Pezeshkian further criticized the Israeli regime, stating that it seeks to humiliate all neighbors and has repeatedly attacked the neighboring and non-neighboring nations, leaving destruction and devastation.

He also denounced the claims of humanitarian concern from the Israeli officials as nothing more than mockery and deception aimed at the public.

The Zionist regime’s war on Gaza has killed at least 61,776 people and wounded 154,906 since October 2023.
