Iran Earns Fourth Win in Asian U-16 Volleyball Championship 2025
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran beat South Korea 3-1 (25-21, 27-29, 25-22, 25-20) in the Asian Men’s U-16 Volleyball Championship Thailand 2025 on Wednesday.
Iran had earlier defeated Indonesia 3-1 and Hong Kong 3-0, and Kazakhstan 3-0 in Pool B.
The young Persians will play Pakistan on Thursday in Pool F.
This top-tier continental event is being held from July 12 to 19 in Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi, Thailand, gathering 16 formidable teams from across Asia to vie not only for regional supremacy but also for four coveted berths at the 2026 Boys’ U-17 World Championship.
The upcoming global tournament features 24 teams, an expansion from its inaugural edition in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2024, which saw 16 teams compete.
