Qalibaf Warns of Iran’s Decisive Response to Any Aggression
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warned that Iran is fully prepared to respond decisively to any act of aggression, cautioning the enemies to avoid another miscalculation.
Addressing a parliamentary session on Tuesday, Qalibaf said strengthening Iran’s defense capabilities is now a top priority.
He assured the Iranian people that the reinforcement of the country’s defensive power is being pursued rapidly and seriously.
Qalibaf noted that the lessons learned from the recent 12-day imposed war have exposed weaknesses that are now being addressed, while existing strengths are being reinforced.
He underlined that the Iranian military forces are prepared to respond more strongly than ever to any possible attack on Iran, cautioning the enemies against another miscalculation.
Qalibaf stressed that proper planning by Iran’s Armed Forces is aimed at preventing any enemy miscalculations.
He said the recent ‘Sustainable Might’ missile drill conducted by the Iranian Navy sent a clear message that in any future conflict, restraint will end, and new venues for retaliation will be considered.
Qalibaf warned that any fresh aggression could escalate the war into new regions and extend to economic and political arenas.
He also highlighted the role of the Iranian nation, saying the people of Iran, through their full support for the military and political officials, delivered the biggest blow to the enemy’s plots and thwarted plans to disintegrate the country.
The most decisive factor in the enemy’s defeat during the 12-day war was Iran’s national unity, which also remains the key deterrent factor against future threats, he stated.
On June 13, the Zionist regime launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran, targeting military, nuclear, and residential areas for 12 consecutive days. The United States later escalated the conflict by striking three of Iran’s nuclear sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on June 22.
Iran’s Armed Forces delivered an immediate and forceful response. The IRGC Aerospace Force carried out 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes under Operation True Promise III, inflicting significant damage and heavy losses on cities across the occupied territories.
In retaliation for the US attacks, Iranian forces also targeted al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar —the largest American military installation in West Asia— with a barrage of missiles.
The confrontation came to an end on June 24, when a ceasefire was enforced.
