For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reiterated Tehran’s willingness to strengthen ties with Saudi Arabia and the other neighboring countries on the basis of good neighborliness and mutual interests.
He noted that Iran is prepared to expand the economic, cultural and commercial relations with Saudi Arabia.
Araqchi also lauded Saudi Arabia for condemning the Israeli and US attacks against Iran, saying the act of aggression was taken in clear violation of the UN Charter and the international law, specifically the nuclear non-proliferation regime.
The US and Israeli aggression against Iran posed an unprecedented threat to security and stability in the West Asia, the foreign minister added, noting that the united and firm stance adopted by the regional states indicated their consensus about the need for collective action against the Zionist regime’s expansionism and warmongering approaches.
