Iran’s Missile Strikes Expose Fragility of Israeli Defenses

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Israeli regime's media has reluctantly admitted to the heavy toll from Iran’s recent missile attacks, with Channel 12 reporting at least 1,800 Israeli injuries and widespread fear among settlers due to the lack of secure shelters.

Despite the Israeli army's strict censorship on war-related casualties and damage, Hebrew-language sources on Tuesday night revealed extensive losses among the illegal settlers inflicted by Iran’s missile strikes over the past few days.

According to Channel 12, "So far, 1,800 people have been injured as a result of Iranian missile attacks on Israel." The report also admitted that "more than half of Israelis do not have access to reinforced rooms or shelters."

Tens of thousands of Israelis have reportedly filed complaints regarding property damage caused by the war with Iran.

The Hebrew outlet further noted that prolonged adherence to Home Front Command regulations would lead to about 75% worker absenteeism, while the Manufacturers Association warned, “If the situation continues, half the workforce will stop working altogether.”

Among the many strategic aspects of Iran’s Operation True Promise 3, one clear outcome is the exposure of Israel’s internal vulnerabilities and the regime's inability to protect its own population.

For over 70 years, the Zionist regime has relied on unlimited Western and US military support, boasting about making occupied Palestine a safe haven for Jews. However, this direct confrontation with Iran has shattered such illusions.

Massive damage to infrastructure and unprecedented Israeli casualties have intensified insecurity among settlers and revealed serious weaknesses in the regime's internal security architecture.

Although the regime has urged settlers to seek shelter in fortified rooms during attacks, the reality is different. Even Hebrew media admit that many buildings across occupied Palestine, including in Tel Aviv, lack any safety provisions —especially those constructed before 1992 safety codes.

The Home Front Command reported that roughly 40% of Tel Aviv residents are without access to standard shelters.

According to Knesset research estimates, there are about 12,000 public shelters across the occupied territories. However, more than half are unfit for emergency use. An additional 700,000 fortified rooms and 20,000 communal shelters serve some 481,000 residential units, yet this still falls far short in the face of precision missile strikes like those launched by Iran.

The Israeli public increasingly blames their own leadership for the lack of shelters and protective infrastructure —a failure that has proven fatal under the weight of Iran’s fierce retaliation.

Censored reports from Israeli media and the emergency services suggest at least 24 Israeli fatalities since Friday night’s Iranian strikes. However, informed sources say the real death toll is far higher, as the occupying regime continues its long-standing practice of concealing the true scale of its losses.
