Iran Ready for Full-Blown, Drawn-Out War: General
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An advisor to the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps expressed Iran’s readiness for an all-out protracted battle against the Israeli regime, saying the Islamic Republic will employ a series of modern weaponry if necessary.
Speaking to Tasnim on Monday, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said Iran is fully prepared for a full-blown and lengthy fight against the Israeli aggression.
Iran will soon unveil its new innovations, he stated, adding that Tehran has considered all possibilities and braced itself for all war conditions.
The general ridiculed the notion of a decline in the missile reserves of Iran, saying the country has not strategically employed its missile power so far.
“We will bring our modern equipment into operation whenever we deem appropriate. The new generation of missiles are only a portion of them,” he stated.
The world will witness Iran’s innovations in the coming days, General Vahidi added, noting that Iran is by no means worried about a lengthy war.
“Our conditions will get better in all aspects of the war day by day. We might employ our other capacities as well,” he stressed.
The general gave an assurance that Iran has many options to thrash the Zionist regime.
The Israeli regime attacked a number of residential neighborhoods of Tehran as well as military and nuclear sites in other parts of Iran in the early hours of June 13.
Several top military commanders, nuclear scientists, and dozens of civilians have been martyred in the strikes.
The Iranian Armed Forces have launched several rounds of retaliatory missile attacks against Israeli targets during the past four days.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said after the Israeli aggression that the Zionist regime “has made a big mistake, a grave error, and committed a reckless act.”
“By God’s grace, the consequences of this will bring that regime to ruin,” the Leader warned, adding, “Our Armed Forces are ready, and the country's officials and all the people are behind the Armed Forces. Today, similar messages have been issued by all the various political factions and numerous groups throughout the country. Everyone feels that we must give a strong response to the evil, despicable, terrorist Zionist identity.”
