Swiss Envoy to Iran Summoned after Israeli Aggression

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The ambassador of Switzerland to Iran was summoned by the Foreign Ministry following the Israeli regime’s blatant violation of Iran’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty by the Zionist regime on Friday.

Nadine Lozano, the Swiss ambassador in Tehran, representing the US Interests Section, was summoned by Eisa Kameli, Deputy Foreign Minister and Director-General for the Americas at Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Kameli conveyed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s strong condemnation and outrage at Israel’s aggressive actions and the US support for them.

He called Israel’s military aggression a flagrant crime and a violation of all international norms and the UN Charter.

He also emphasized that, given the US’s long-standing and comprehensive support for Israel, the American government bears responsibility for the very dangerous and far-reaching consequences of the regime’s adventurism.

Kameli warned against any US military support for the Zionist regime—including efforts to obstruct Iran’s legitimate right to self-defense—and stated that it is inconceivable such acts of aggression could have been carried out without at least US coordination, cooperation, or a green light. Therefore, he asserted, the US must be held accountable for its unlawful conduct, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

The Swiss ambassador confirmed that she would promptly convey Iran’s message to the US government.

The Israeli regime attacked a number of residential neighborhoods of Tehran and locations in other parts of Iran in the early hours of Friday.

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Major General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, and at least six Iranian nuclear scientists have been martyred in the strikes.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has warned the Zionist regime that it will receive a severe punishment for the strike, saying, “With this crime, the Zionist regime has prepared for itself a bitter, painful fate, which it will definitely see.”
