Iran Will Definitely Respond to Israel, Araqchi Warns

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Calling on the European Union to condemn the Israeli regime’s military strike against Iran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi vowed Tehran’s decisive response to the Zionist regime’s act of aggression.

In a telephone conversation with his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani on Friday, Araqchi condemned the Israeli attacks on Iran as a brazen violation of the international law.

The Iranian government and people expect the international community, specifically the European Union, to condemn the Israeli regime’s criminal attacks, he stated.

The foreign minister stressed that Iran will respond to the Israeli act of aggression definitely and decisively.

For his part, Tajani said he has told the Israeli officials that the attacks on Iran are unacceptable and must stop.

Calling for self-restraint, the top diplomat expressed Italy’s readiness to revive the course of dialogue to restore peace and stability to the region.

The Israeli regime attacked a number of residential neighborhoods of Tehran and locations in other parts of Iran in the early hours of Friday.

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Major General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, and at least six Iranian nuclear scientists have been martyred in the strikes.

Ayatollah Khamenei has warned the Zionist regime that it will receive a severe punishment for the strike, saying, “With this crime, the Zionist regime has prepared for itself a bitter, painful fate, which it will definitely see.”
